Unfortunately notwithstanding the great weather it now seems my summer sojourn with Wednesday golf is quickly drawing to a close as numerous mediations now populate my diary meaning my attendance at the office is a prerequisite.
The premier event in the Club calendar commences this week with the first round of Club Champs qualifying on Saturday, the second round on the 13th and matchplay from 20 March. Entries are being taken at the pro shop or alternatively speak directly with the office. Entries close on Wednesday and the draw will be available from Thursday on the website or at Shirley. All the best to each and every competitor.
On Sunday the Mixed programme continues with the Wellington Salver a four-ball best ball stableford with the entry fee of $22.50 including the aftermatch meal as well. Tee times are available from 12.30 for 1 & 16, this is always a fun day so get your names down as soon as possible.
The special Board meeting in regards to membership was postponed last week until Monday 1 March due to some unforeseen absences but be assured more information will follow in due course. Any ideas to increase membership or add value to membership would be gratefully received so speak either to myself or any other Board member.
We are continuing to develop and update the new Club website www.christchurchgolf.co.nz so if you have not had a look or registered please take a few moments to do so. If you have any difficulties with registration feel free to call the office for assistance or alternatively if you call in Struan may be able to do it immediately with you. Remember the Club must hold a valid e-mail address for you for the whole registration process to work.
