Inter Club Update....................

It was a busy weekend for our interclub teams with 3 different competitions underway but just as importantly we have received notification from Canterbury Golf that our Over 50's team was successful and winners of the gross competition. Well done guys a great effort!!! (our team not Canterbury Golf).

In line with our strategic objective to use the website as our primary portal of communication full match reports from Metro and Presidents appear in the members section under news. Suffice to say Presidents good form continues with a close 4.5 to 3.5 win away at Coringa. With five matches to go and four at home the team looks to continue to climb the leader board towards a top 5 finish.

Metro retained its unbeaten status courtesy of a four all draw with Russley (last year's winners). Lawyer Ben Frampton restored the honour of the legal profession with a birdie on 18 to win one up while his (law) partner Cran Bull was unlucky to lose 1 down - to a birdie on 18. Other winners were Tony Park at 1, Ray Vivian at 2 and Peter Davey at 8. Best of luck in a fortnights time - Steve Ellis's selection policy will be closely scrutinised.

Our three Junior Teams made a road trip out to Rangiora where our youngest team continued its run of form with a 3/1 victory. The top team opened their account with a similar result but our middle team, although they played well, could not make it a treble. With so many talented Juniors we continue to struggle with the number of shots conceded to the opposition but our golfers continue to play to or under their handicaps.

Once again many thanks to the parents for their on going support as it is appreciated by the teams and the Club.
