Sponsors Day..............

Last Monday dawned fine and clear as we took the opportunity to thank those who have helped the Club during the '09 year. Although originally designated as a "Drinks Cart Attendant" a late scratching in the Hamilton Hindin & Greene team meant that at the eleventh hour I picked up the clubs and headed to the second tee for the start of play. So many thanks to Liam Cumberpatch and Lynne Taylor who filled those duties during the afternoon together with Struan who did the round during the last few holes.

The competition of the day was a teams bamboozle with three of the four scores counting on each hole. The Hamilton Hindin & Greene team posted a credible score of 129 which normally would be good enough to win but alas no not on the day. In a fine display Fuji Xerox shot 131 to finish in second while David Wallace lead his Bengarong Thai Cuisine Team to 135 points and first prize. Close behind in fourth place was The Little India Team captained by Sukhi Gill. Again many thanks to those sponsors who also contributed to the wonderful prize table (I am now sporting a wonderful black & white sleeveless Cross vest).

During the course of the evening the Hole Sponsorship for 2010 was drawn and it was amidst much hilarity and enthusiasm that Alan Stroud drew number 1 for Lion Breweries. The evening was a great success and enjoyed by all with a special thank you to Phillipa Idour who assisted Amanda's team in serving the meal.
