The Woodward Cup court session on Sunday produced a few interesting fines:
1) The caddy who after sending his player from the 11 green to the 12 tee with driver proceeded down the fairway to await the arrival of the ball only to discover somewhat later he was on 2 not 12. In my defence it was some time since I had last been on the course - at least 2 hours.
2) The Manager's wife who in coming to support could not find her husbands car in the car park & assumed he had left for Shirley. On exiting Claire noticed a sign saying Avondale Golf Club rather than Waimairi being where she had intended to arrive.
3) The Woodward Cup player whose partner marked his golf ball with a pink heart. No matter what you say Scotty Adams some of us thought it was really sweet given you were going to be away all Sunday.
Needless to say the team pool continues to grow.
