What's Happening Week of 30 March......

This week we welcome back Cecily to the office on a return to work programme following her illness. It is great to see that Cecily is recovering so quickly and well and we wish her all the best during this period - don't work too hard. I am sure I speak for us all when I say you were sadly missed while you were away, having said that thanks to all the people that have helped out in the office over the past few weeks it has been much appreciated.

This coming weekend sees the reintroduction of the Alpine Classic at Hanmer if you want to go and have not committed as yet could you please do so as a matter of urgency by speaking with Ben Frampton. At last count there were nearly 50 signed up so clearly its going to be a great weekend and some golf might even get played!! For those not venturing out of Christchurch the competition of the day next Saturday is Stableford three grades.

This is the last week for the playing of the prelim top-dog round so please get those matches played and the results up. Just as a reminder it behoves both parties to work towards getting a mutually acceptable date so you should not have left it to the last minute. As a rule of thumb if no date can be agreed then the match should be played on the last possible date. If this is not possible the choices are a forfeit or a coin toss. Failure to do anything will result in both pairs being disqualified! Any questions see me.

The Page Family Trophy draw has now been posted in the Dobson Gallery with 40 couples participating. There is a prelim round so please check what is happening as soon as possible and the due dates with so many other activities under way. The match conditions are noted on the draw.

Next weekend sees our Women's Pollock Cup team travel away to Ellesmere for the next round, the team is going well so we wish them all the best. Our Juniors (both teams) play the next round at Shirley on Sunday morning. As usual any support around the course would be greatly appreciated by the players. It is also the final round of the Presidents Competition with all teams playing at Clearwater. This is one of the longest competitions run with 14 teams that commenced in September of last year. I understand Paul Needs is grappling with selection changes as we speak - no doubt more will follow.

In the interim good golfing!!
