What's Happening Week of 16 March....

Focus for the coming week now centres on the Club Champs with the first round of Matchplay on Saturday and another round on Sunday. The draw will be available at the Pro Shop, the Office, and on the Web Site on Wednesday 18 March. If you think you have qualified please check as there is nothing more frustrating than people pulling out or simply not turning up!! Tee times start from 10.30am.

For those who have not made the cut a stableford competition will be in place but you would be wise to book your tee as soon as possible given the size of the match play field!

Sunday sees the the Pollock Cup (inter club for the Ladies) played at Shirley. Our team has had a couple of good results so your support around the course on Sunday would be appreciated. Unfortunately Dana Kim has returned to Korea so her presence will be missed.

The Junior Teams head on a road trip to Kaiapoi for round 3 of their competition. We wish the team and their supporters well for continued success.

If you see a few Aussies around the course over the weekend don't be surprised as one of reciprocal clubs Indooroopilly is making a visit (see separate note).

Just as we look forward into April there are a few dates to note in your diary already!! The first weekend sees the Alpine Classic the initial mail out has been distributed so if you are not on the list please contact Ben Frampton. As indicated this is a fun weekend of golf in Hanmer and already there is a strong indication that there will be a full field.

Easter sees the third running of the Christchurch Casino "Masters" Charity Golf Tournament with the course closed for Shot Gun starts on Easter Sunday and Monday. As in past years there will be a separate competition run on the Saturday which will be open to members on payment of a minimal entrance fee. There are great prizes so highlight this in your calendar. Unfortunately if you are not in the field for the Tournament proper its probably too late.

The Wood Trowel weekend is set down for the the weekend after Easter 18/19 April this is a major club event involving a formal dinner and entertainment on the Saturday night this is a must especially for newer members. If you have any questions please feel free to speak with me.

In the interim good golfing..........
