Sunday saw the Inter District Challenge qualifying held at Christchurch over 36 holes. Our 4 person team performed creditably but unfortunately fell short of qualifying finishing 6 strokes back of the eventual winners Kaiapoi in third place.
At the end of the first round we were second by one shot but unfortunately things did not go our way in the afternoon. Our best round of the day was in the morning from Tom Turner who shot 71. Peter McDougall was as consistent as ever shooting two 74's. Congratulations to Kaiapoi whose victory was more meritorious given they had only three players meaning all scores counted for both rounds.
