Congratulations to Mike Ambrose who playing in the Mercedes Championship on Friday at Clearwater won the lucky car park spot prize - a tailored suit to the value of $1500.00 - not bad for an afternoon off work and a good way to start Monday having left the Tournament before prize giving (some people would have said redraw!!)!!
Just a reminder that the preliminary rounds of Top Dog need to be played by April 6. This leaves only 2 weekends or 1 if you intend to go to Hanmer. Please note no extensions will be granted short of plague pestilence and possibly death - please don't ask as a refusal may offend!
One of our Junior teams was in action at the weekend at Kaiapoi (the senior team had a bye) unfortunately after a good showing we went down 3/1 giving away a lot of strokes in the handicaps. Alex Sloane was solid with a win and Henry Pearson was unlucky to lose on the 18th. There are another couple of rounds over the next few weeks so undoubtedly the boys will improve.
Pollock Cup was played at Shirley on the weekend and after a bye in the morning we had a half in the afternoon. This means we are near the top of the table looking for a strong finish!
