Around the Course.....

I am often asked about the bunker sand and when the fairway bunkers will have the new sand added. Unfortunately this is a cost issue for the Board and while all the greenside bunkers have been done the remaining bunkers will not be completed until sufficient funding is available (approximately $20k).

This week sees the greens being spiked and lightly sanded to ensure adequate drainage over the winter months. Because no corings are being taken out it is anticipated that the greens will recover very quickly. For those of you who are observant you will have noted that the old 9th green has been used for setting up the spiking machine in anticipation.

This week Mark and his team will also be completing the final shaping, seeding and fertilising of the moundings between on 15 & 16 and 6 & 7 - those piles are not bark chips but fertiliser.
