It is interesting to note that one of our overseas members Sachio Semmoto has recently been appointed to the Board of Telecom New Zealand. Sachio has extensive experience in the international communications market heading one of Japan's leading suppliers. We wish him well in his new role and look forward to perhaps more regular visits to Shirley!!
For those musically attuned you would be aware that a band known as Kings of Leon were playing at the Westpac Centre on Sunday evening. Grant & Janet Osborn's daughter Hannah made the trip up from Dunedin together with all of her 8 person flat - we understand Grant did a great job on the barbecue especially after a Highlanders victory. The big question is "Was Paul Needs the oldest person at the concert and why was there so much interest in his attendance from other club members in regards to what I understand is known as a teen band?" Any replies gratefully received.
