As some of you may be aware Steve Ellis's wider family has been hit by ill health over the past few months. Steve's mother-in -law passed away late last week and on Friday he and Sue travel to Italy to be with his daughter whose husband is suffering with cancer. Steve will be away for a couple of months so we extend to him and Sue our condolences and thoughts for what lies ahead.
This Sunday sees the Pollock Cup semis and final for Women's inter club played at Shirley, - in and around Metro and the Wood Trowel. Our Ladies have made it into the semis and we wish them well for a successful day and the return of the trophy to our clubhouse.
Note that on the 15 May the Club is running an Open Women's Tournament so if you are available to play get your entry in as soon as possible this is all good support for the Club. I thought the promotion of the event with clothing supplied by the pro shop caught the eye. On that note there are some really good bargains for shirts and tops in the pro shop so get in quick!!
For those in the Page Trophy continual date clashes have led us to extend the play-off time for a further week through until 10 May. There are now no excuses for the matches not being completed.
