How good a golfer is Chris Abbott?? Chris a newer member on a 27 handicap recently had a week to remember - on Saturday he was the sole winner of the nett eagles when 10 was drawn, the following day he won the Junior Plate from Michael Sweeney, and then his run of good form continued with a hole in one at 11 on Wednesday evening when playing with Mike Hadley. Congratulations and well done Chris, keep it up and watch that handicap plummet.
It was interesting to note that Michael Sidey was seen leaving the Forsyth Barr Golf day the other week carrying two bottles of wine. When questioned Mike admitted he was a winner and while not "good form" to win at your own tournament he disclosed he had actually won four prizes having already given away two sleeves of balls to his playing partners - and they already had wine as well!! I sure it Mike's win was well deserved and given it was Forsyth Barr I'm sure the wine tasted good!
