What's Happening Week of 13 July............

This Saturday we are once again trialling the one time shotgun start with tee-off scheduled for 11.00 and the competition is Stableford three grades. Please get your names down as soon as possible because given the response last time we may look to limit numbers.

With the return of the Tri-nations Rugby Tests Amanda and Andrew will this Saturday evening be running the normal rugby test meal around the fire. So if you have no other plans please come down to the club house and watch the match with some of the other members you really will enjoy it!!

The Men's Committee meets on Wednesday and then we see Keith Love depart on his overseas excursion which will see him venturing to Canada to stay with Marty Holman and Patrice so no doubt we will have a report on golf from our North American correspondents in due course!!

As the school holidays draw to a close and after an absence of nearly six months the food fairy makes a reappearance on Friday. Menu planning is well advanced but actual testing is behind the 8 ball so anything may happen.

On the work front we seem to have hit a slight trough with the number of mediations in a temporary decline so I am taking outstanding TOIL and a leave day (well maybe two). Actually we have two away over the next couple of weeks so it is the calm before the storm! In a rearranged travel programme I head back to Timaru for the week of the 20th so who knows what may happen.

In the interim good golfing and I will see you at Shirley if not before!!
