Ladies Who Golf Luncheon.........

After a break of nearly 6 months the Food Fairy made a brief reappearance on Friday. There was an early round of golf where Julie O'Neill starred with 39 stableford points to retain the PS Plate. An inquiry may be conducted into her changing clubs part way through the round (they were in Barry's car at the Dentist and she was using her old ones until they were returned at the 5 tee) especially as I finished second. After a Chardonnay in the Club House we adjourned for lunch with the menu as follows:

Soup: Kumara, Pumpkin & Peanut Soup. An Alison Holst recipe made with peanut butter, chilli and curry powder served with a swirl of yogurt and a few crushed cashews.
EntrĂ©e: Thai Coconut Chicken Bites. A Jo Seagar recipe made with chicken mince and coconut cream cooked in mini muffin trays – served with a small salad and chilli sauce on the side.
Main: Moroccan Boned Leg of Lamb marinated with Spices: Came from a Next magazine served with roasted veggies on wilted salad greens.
Dessert: Frangelio Affogato – which is a complicated way of saying ice cream with coffee diluted with Frangelio & some extra fudge added on the side.

With the magic of communication technology and Skype we were able to talk directly with and see Patrice and Marty in Canada and by taking the laptop for a walk we had a tour of their house. I know it is a sad indictment on my life but I am quite envious of their kitchen!!
