As you know a couple of weeks ago I was in Auckland for a training course. As part of the new age feeling we all had to stand and introduce ourselves to the group with the addition of some personal comments. Paul, who is blind, kicked the ball off by talking about his new guide dog Digby and suggested we tell each other about our pets at home.
That all went well with cats and dogs and the odd lifestyle block sheep till it came around to me when I said I lived in a small, central city, stand alone apartment about 2 1/2 minutes from work and it wasn't feasible to have an animal but I shared home with my 20 year old daughter who I suppose could be described as a cat: she arrived unannounced and took up residence, she disappears for long periods during day and night only to return for food &/or meals, takes no notice of what I say, and now the whole household revolves around her!
