On Saturday we welcomed a new Sponsor to the Christchurch Golf Club in the form of Select Braemar Lodge & Spa who provided the prizes for the Mixed Opening Day event. It was a pleasure to be able to entertain the Lodge Manager Tina Smith and her partner Jerry to the evening meal and prize giving.
Most of us will recall the 'old' Braemar Lodge just outside of Hanmer Springs but Tina advises the complex, apart from the original fireplace, has now been almost entirely rebuilt and it provides the perfect location for a quiet weekend away or perhaps that venue for a Corporate Retreat. In particular the Altitude Restaurant can seat in an intimate atmosphere numbers from 2 to 100 and the Spa is an excellent place to escape and ease away the tensions and stress that are associated with life on a day to day basis.
We thank Select Braemar Lodge for their participation and generosity and hope that it will be a long and rewarding partnership for the years to come. I am sure the lucky winners will appreciate the range services provided and report back positively on their experience.
