For some reason Timaru became a hotbed of industrial unrest in the closing months of 2009 such that I have made a number of trips to the Riviera of the South over the past few weeks - 4 I think at last count!!
Imagine, if you will then, my chagrin at having transported myself, by foot, to Church Street to discover "The Red Rocket" no longer exists but has been superseded by "Zest". I was understandably distraught!! Having ventured that far I did partake of a small repast but the ambiance that was the Red Rocket was missing - not withstanding "a fresh green decor" the coffee was of potable standard.
Matters were then worsened by the fact for the first three visits the Purple Lizard failed to supply the much vaunted Rocky Road - it was with some relief it was present in the food cabinet for my last assignation. All being well my next journey south is not until March!
