Given my recent excursions in, on and around golf courses I should in all respects have a svelte like figure. I followed last weekends marathon with 10 holes on Friday, 18 on Saturday, 14 on Sunday morning caddying for the Woodward team and then 18 on Sunday afternoon. I am drawn to the inescapable conclusion the amount of fuel - liquid and solid - consumed after these outings must be having a detrimental effect given my increasing girth. Does this seem a plausible explanation; I don't think so!! Clearly there must be some other rationale otherwise (shock horror) it would seem a summer fitness and diet regime may have to be implemented.
Speaking of which the Food Fairy made a fleeting visit last week but unfortunately "prep"had not been all it should which explains why only the 10 holes on Friday. For those interested the menu consisted of Prawn Pad Thai, a Greek Salad accompanied by pan fried peppered lamb backs, a beef ragout on pasta, with cappuccino chocolate cups & cream for dessert ( I fail to see how any of that can be fattening?!).
