A number of members head to Hanmer for the Alpine Classic this weekend and we wish them well on their travels - a report is eagerly anticipated in due course. From past experience I am sure that a good time will be had by all and stamina may play a significant part in determining eventual success. A late call to Ben Frampton could possibly still get you in the field but do not push your luck too far. Earlier in the week accommodation was available at Marchmont Gardens behind the second green so you may still be able to get a bed.
For those of us staying at home this is the day for the older of the club members with the J O Jameson Cup for members 60 years of age (or over) a par handicap competition or a stableford 1 grade for the rest of us.
